Ancient silk fabrics are basically named according to fabric texture, fabric pattern and fabric color. Many of the old names of modern silk, such as crepe, damask, thu and silk, also use some foreign words, such as georgette and taffeta. According to the organization structure, raw materials, processing technology, texture, appearance and main use of silk fabrics, it can be divided into ten categories, including yarn, silk, silk, spun silk, silk, crepe, brocade, satin, thu, ge, tweed, velvet and silk.
1. Yarn: It is a yarn woven silk fabric, also known as plain yarn, which is wholly or partially made of uniformly distributed eyelets (i.e. "eyelets") formed by warping.
2. Luo: All or part of the Luo weave silk fabric with pepper holes after warping each other. It can be divided into Zhiluo, Hengluo, Hualuo and Suluo.

4. Silk: natural silk fabric with fine, smooth and crisp texture and plain weave.

6. Brocade: colorful yarn-dyed jacquard silk fabric made of heavy weave and multicolor silk thread. Brocade is a famous jacquard silk. It has been said in ancient times that "weaving and picking is the text, and its price is like gold". There are Shu brocade, Song brocade and cloud brocade.
7. Satin: It is a silk fabric with smooth, bright and fine appearance by using satin weave or satin change weave.
8. Thu: a silk fabric with thick texture and clear texture, using plain weave, filament as warp, cotton or other yarn as weft. It can be divided into plain thread and flower thread.
9. Ge: It is a thick silk fabric with flat weave, twill weave and its changing weave. The warp and weft are sparse and the warp and weft are fine and thick. The surface of the fabric presents transverse shuttle pattern.
10. Denim: silk fabric with thick warp and weft threads, rich texture and woolly feeling.
11. Fleece: Silk fabric with fluffy texture in whole or in part and with fluff or loops on the surface.
12. Silk: Silk fabric with plain weave or variable weave and tightly interlaced warp and weft. Silk is the general name of silk fabrics. Its characteristics are: the silk surface is crisp and fine, and the feel is smooth. Silk fabrics without other obvious characteristics can be called silk.
13. Yarn: It is a light and thin silk fabric with transparent holes, which is made of plain or fake yarn.
14. Crepe: It refers to the silk fabric with wrinkle effect by adopting plain weave or other weave, and applying warp and weft reinforcement twisting and other processes. Its characteristics are: the silk mask has reversible wrinkles, soft luster, elastic feel and good anti-crepe effect.
